Would you push for a C section in this situation?

I had my son this past Dec. and I just found out today I got pregnant again. IT was a big surprise to us. Anyway we could have lost my son due to the fact that his umbilical cord was half the size it was supposed to be and a normal one has has 2 veins and 1 artery and his only had 1 of each. The doctor almost had to do an emergency C-section to get him out, but decided to cut me and literally pull him out. His heart rate kept dropping dramatically during labor. They called up extra doctors and nurses because they thought they might lose him. If this baby has the same thing, going thru labor could make me lose this baby. Would you push for a c-section or attempt labor and possibly lose the child?
