Protesting a government that uses excessive force is supporting terrorism ?

That is absurd. Protesting injustices to humanity is not supporting terrorism, nor is it a hate crime (as some have attempted to claim). Immediately responding with the word 'terrorist' or 'hate crime' distracts from the real issue and only serves to discredit the message.
