Has McCain lost the battleground states?

Yes he absolutely has lost them. The entire McCain campaign has been a shock and awe in attempt to save the republican party from being completely annihilated in the election, which has actually somewhat worked but we all know they'll lose in the end unless the election is rigged.... again. I think it would be too y to rig the election this time though because then it would be painfully obvious and I don't doubt a revolt and overthrowing of the government.
